“Lost Girl” does the same, except they present major story points throughout the first four seasons, and then fill the gaps with smaller points, that sometimes tie in with some of the major plot points, while other plot points stand by themselves to be revealed later.
What I also like is how they handle the storylines in some ways like a cross between “Doctor Who” and “Babylon 5”, where the writers on those two shows would present major plot points of a storyline and then build on it as the show went. What I also found quite interesting is the writer/creator bases all of the folklore/mythology from what different cultures believe here on Earth and puts a Syfy touch to it. What I also like about the show is that it is not into labels, nor do they ever attempt to go there.

I think the writing and the acting is far and away better than any of the supernatural series I have ever seen. I was a late comer of the “Buffy” series, but this is what the “Buffy” series should have been. Yes, I would highly recommend this show for viewers who want a more adult-based supernatural show. I started watching the show during its second season and have been hooked ever since. “Lost Girl” is a Canadian-based series that plays on Syfy Channel in the US.
